This page serves as the official archive for The Outer Realm, an early Web3 media brand—and its related initiatives, Creative Bytes and #CryptoArtFriday.
"The Outer Realm" was a storytelling layer of Second Realm, focused on documenting and amplifying early crypto art movements. Through long-form interviews and cultural essays, it gave voice to artists and ideas that helped shape the Web3 art world.
This work helped shape early discourse—cited in academic research, referenced in books, and featured in major crypto art retrospectives.
Conducted 30+ long-form interviews with artists, technologists, and curators at the forefront of digital expression. An archive of written interviews is available here, or you can listen to episodes wherever you get your podcasts:
#CryptoArtFriday was a short-form creative initiative through the Creative Bytes newsletter in partnership with Joyn. Each week, artists responded to an open prompt—part experiment, part community-building exercise. While no longer active, the archive remains available at @CryptoArtFriday.
The Outer Realm brand identity was built using commercial rights licensed through Avastars. This was an early public test of how tokenized characters could serve as creative IP in editorial, branding, and storytelling contexts.
